Pay with Crypto: How can I pay with cryptocurrency using “MESH”?
Nuvei offers certain merchants a service that allows users to purchase goods or services on their platforms and pay with cryptocurrency. Up until now, there was one payment method with cryptocurrency, where you had to manually transfer the exact amount of the coins you had to pay to the wallet address provided by us during the process. However, we are now introducing a new payment method, which will allow you to pay with cryptocurrency faster and easier. The new payment method features an integrated service called "MESH".
Using MESH, you do not need to enter/select any amounts or networks manually in your wallet, as MESH pre-fills them. You only need to connect your wallet and confirm the transfers with the standard means. It is important to note that the remaining way of manually transferring coins from the wallet remains, and MESH is just an additional payment method when using the "Pay with Crypto" service.
Below you will find the process of paying with cryptocurrency when MESH is selected as the payment method.
1. You must select the cryptocurrency with which you wish to pay. After selecting the coin, you must press the corresponding button.
2. You will then see the 2 available methods of paying with cryptocurrency: sending it manually or connecting your wallet/exchange with MESH.
Once you select to transfer the coins using MESH, you must confirm that you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions and click "Next."
3. Then, you will be provided with a pop-up where you need to select which wallet or exchange you wish to connect. You can select one of the more popular ones or search for it using the search bar. Let's assume that you select Binance.
Important note: If you can not locate your wallet/account service provider during this step, it means that it is not compatible with MESH. In this case, you will need to send the cryptocurrency manually, by exiting the pop-up and selecting the corresponding payment method.
4. After clicking on the selected wallet/exchange (Binance), you will see a disclaimer that Nuvei needs to securely link the account. The message provides an explanation about the safety of the process, and you must click "Continue" to proceed.
5. Then, you will need to enter the email address and password, as well as the one-time code sent, to verify that you are really trying to log in to the wallet.
Keep in mind that the login is solely dependent on your setup with your wallet provider. We have no influence and can not assist with the login to your wallet from our end.
6. After doing so, you will need to click the "Continue" button if you confirm that you are granting Nuvei a few permissions. These include allowing Nuvei to view balances, activity, and profile data, as well as sending requests for transactions. The granting of the permissions will not allow Nuvei to move any funds from your wallet without your acknowledgement.
7. Once you grant the permissions, you will see a pop-up message, indicating that the wallet was successfully linked to Nuvei, and you can now continue to the payment.
7. Next, you will be presented with the payment preview. It will include all of the data that was pre-filled by MESH. Sections include "from" (your wallet), "to" (the destination wallet address), "network" (the correct network on which the coins must be sent), and "paying with" (from which balance the sent amount will be deducted).
Below, you will see the total amount of cryptocurrency and how much it is in the fiat currency you are using in the wallet. Additionally, you can see all of the fees included by clicking the drop-down button. Right after that, you will see a section of what will happen once you select to proceed with this payment.
8. By clicking "Proceed," you will need to enter a one-time code to confirm that you are initiating this payment. This will be the final confirmation from your end to execute the transfer.
9. After the confirmation, you will see a message indicating that the payment to Nuvei was initiated successfully. You can select "see what happened" to view the information about the transfer.
10. Once "Done" is clicked, you will see that your payment is either being processed, approved, or unsuccessful. If the payment was unsuccessful, you will need to complete a process for an automatic refund. If the payment was successful, a message indicating so will be displayed, and you will be able to return to the merchant's page.
